FAQs

Who is this program for?

  • Mid-to-Senior level professionals, executives, and consultants

  • Although the techniques are transferable to nearly any field, clients with a focus in payments technology and FinTech will experience accelerated results due to Larry's experience in and insights into the industry.

  • Both active and passive job seekers, people seeking a career pivot or advancement, or those returning to the job market after a break

  • Those just starting to explore their next move, unsure where to start, or feeling stuck or frustrated, short on time, or with no time to spare, or no patience for learning how the job search works in 2026.

What's included?

  • A comprehensive strategy built from 25+ years of proven techniques, stripped down to what actually works in the current market.

  • 1-on-1 sessions and materials covering each of the six core steps.

  • Slack, phone, and text access for quick help with one-off questions and writing help.

  • Resume creation or revision and LinkedIn profile optimization, including content for your About and Experience sections, and recommendations to make the LinkedIn algorithm work in your favor.

  • AI prompts to streamline common, repetitive tasks, talk tracks, interview prep, and salary/offer negotiation.

  • Moral support and encouragement - because success is rarely a straight line.

How often do we meet?

  • We'll meet at least 6 times - once per workbook module - via Zoom or Google Meet.

  • Beyond that, we'll meet as needed to reach your goal. Some clients meet once a week until their activity levels take off. Some meet once a month.

  • There's no "one size fits all" to job search. Your background, goals, timeline, and target market all play an important role.

  • What I can promise: My clients consistently find more opportunities, land more interviews, and often receive multiple offers in less time with far less stress. And I don't take on a client unless I am positive that I can help them.

  • Depending on timing, you may be invited to networking group activities with guest speakers and others in career transition to share leads, strategic insights, and support. All such activities are voluntary.

What are your credentials? Why should I trust you with my career?

  • I started my career as a technical copyeditor at the American Psychological Association, publisher of the APA Style Guide, which is the definitive resource for scholarly writing in the social sciences.

  • In 1998, I joined a San Francisco-based recruiting firm, then moved to South Florida in 2002, where I joined a search firm focused on retail and payments technology, becoming a Vice President and eventually Partner.

  • Since 2021, I have been a senior corporate recruiter for a publicly traded global fintech company, focused on Commercial and Executive Search.

  • In 2017, I launched Way Beyond Resumes, dedicated to helping professionals at all levels with resume, branding, and job search techniques based on over 25 years of observing the 10% of job search techniques that produce 90% of results.

  • I have helped hundreds of talented professionals define and achieve their career goals without the typical frustrations of modern job searching.
