We are unique in that we combine APA-trained writing/editing practices with 20+ years in agency recruiting for companies ranging from Fortune 500s to technology start-ups. We understand business, what it takes to get hired, and how to write to capture the reader's attention in the crucial first 10-15 seconds and sustain that attention through a deep line-by-line read.

No experience as a resume writer is required – we have a proven approach that we will teach to a motivated team member. Position is 100% remote and requires you to have a reliable phone, internet connection, and PC or laptop. We are deadline driven, but you are welcome to choose your work hours.

Responsibilities:
​
We create 1-2 customized resumes per client. For some clients, we create a personalized LinkedIn checklist to optimize their profile and supply them with text that they can paste into their profile. We may also write highly detailed cover letters for our clients, as well as other correspondence or documentation to support our clients’ career search or marketing.
You will work closely with the CEO to:

Transform the client’s old resume to one of our custom formats.

Rewrite resumes to align content with the client’s professional goals

Proofread/edit the work of other Resume Writers

Learn our LinkedIn optimization approach and write customized checklists and content to improve client profiles

Write, edit, and/or proofread cover letters according to our formatting standards.

Track progress and notes through our collaborative workflow software

Writers who are interested in client interaction will have the opportunity to interview new clients and work with them directly through the writing and revision process
Required Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Word including page design and formatting skills.

At least 2 years of writing experience or 2 years of writing-intensive coursework, e.g., as an English or Journalism major

Naturally, the highest attention to detail is required. If you are the type of person who mentally corrects and improves grammar and punctuation when you read and feel strongly about improving people’s lives then you will enjoy the work.

Highly responsible, well-organized, self-motivated & knows when to ask for help. The right candidate is comfortable with a workflow tracking system and can ideally offer suggestions to improve efficiency.
